Check out this year’s June/July issue of Saveur magazine, page 50. It’s a beautiful map showing 30 destinations that represent a cross section of the world’s greatest markets. It’s difficult to see them all on the graphic below so I’d suggest either buying the magazine or checking out the Saveur website so you can read all about them.

Great idea, the mapping of markets.
However, how could they have not mentioned the Naschmarkt in Vienna, Austria where East meets West http://www.wien-vienna.at/essen.php?ID=728, and the Viktualien Markt in Muenich, Germany http://www.topics-mag.com/foods/markets/in-germany.htm
It seems they could have expanded their map….I think they may have left out many excellent markets around the world. Thanks for the info, Waltraud!
